Crock pot chicken parmesan



Ingredients:

3 whole chicken breasts or 6 halves.
1 egg
1 cup of bread crumbs
1 cup of butter
10 oz/ 300g jar of Italian pizza sauce
6 slices of Mozzarella cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Grated Parmesan cheese

Method:
Cut the whole chicken breasts in halves if not already halved. Beat the egg in a bowl with a pinch of salt and pepper. Dip the chicken breasts each in turn with the beaten egg. Coat with bread crumbs. Sauté the chicken in butter in a large skillet or frying pan until light golden. Arrange the chicken breasts in the in the crock pot. Pour the Italian pizza sauce over the chicken. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.

At the end add the mozzarella cheese slices on top of the chicken. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top. Cover and cook for a further 15 minutes.

Serves 6.
